It was great to meet you this weekend! Our family of 6 stayed in site 5. We had a blast! The trails are amazing and it’s so nice to camp right on the trails, I was able to do quick laps between outings (epic lakes) and it was great that the kids could ride the skills area within sight! 👏🏼
It was really great meeting you. I'm always stoked to hear when people have a great time. Thanks for coming out. I look forward to having you back out.
@7:05 you mention more elongated berms that carry speed perhaps these half-pipe like G-outs could also be more longated then the Killzone ones. I really love the final ones on Killzone so fun!! They slow down but they also feel like wall rides, I’m only suggesting having this trail feel different by being less steep. This opens it up for one of my favorite sensations which is to berm these at the top arch so that you can mega lean downhill while arching in a rainbow. #MultipleAxis Then for advanced riders have a lip low on the inside of the berm so you can step-up-transfer landing like a wall ride at the top of the berm. Or if you jump super deep it’s more of a hip landing on the downslope part of the rainbow-berm. Make sense?
It's much more elongated than the end. It's designed to carry more speed. Even on the test run, I can completely feel the difference.
I love the idea @6:16 of a secret transfer onto the parameter trail!!! I’m wondering about an idea where you use pavers in the take off part of the berm to guide trail users in the direction of the alt angle. Then in the primary angle you ride over them diagonally but they are flush with the berm. My thought is this would help keep the lip crisp from the different directions but also communicate both.
Pavers are definitely going to be used on many things like take offs and hard berms. We are always on thelook out for bricks, pavers , and cinder blocks. It will be a lot of work getting them to the location
I got behind after being on the road camping. This video was fun because we just stayed at Everstoke and rode this feature! I had my kids watch with me and it was fun when they realized where this was and got excited. We had a blast at Everstoke this weekend, thanks for all your hard work! The trails are sooooooo fun! We will be coming back for sure! (PS I tied one of your times on Strava.)
I'm really glad you got to ride a see the Twister Kook. Those projects are very time-consuming to build. It makes me feel good to see people using it.
@@mtbingadventures1551 yea me too! I didn’t even know the name at the time, life was crazy trying to juggle a camping trip and work at the same time.
Awesome work. Looks so much fun. Pedal safe
Thank you. I'll do my best to stay safe.
Looks awesome. Hopefully the fire will stay east of you guys
Thanks, I'm really hoping that as well. I'm watching the cal Fire map closely
Great work! Sikads had so much fun this weekend! Love the trails! Wish I had more time to shoot video! Definitely coming back on September. Beautiful Campground and nice flow trails!
You guys are a great group and a lot of fun. It was a pleasure having you all out to Everstoke. I look forward to your next visit.
Watching you gets me itching to cut in our new line but it is too damn hot and dry. There are over 320 forest fires burning in our province so it’s smokey on top of it all. Thanks for the updates. You drinking enough water myguy?
I just sweat through it all and keep pushing forward. I have been hitting the river a lot lately around noon. Feels amazing after trail building. I drink around 5 liters of water a day when building.
I finally got my welder working again, but just too late to have brought you a rhino. Certainly for next year if we're back.
I hope you can make it back. That would be awesome
Great work! I got to ride it on the day you finished the skinny! it was awesome.
Very cool. I'm glad you got to ride it. It's a great feeling to see people playing on the features. Thanks
You are the one who is making EVERSTOKE 'an adventure' with what you are doing. Your vision and hard work have paid off, Big Time...
Thanks, I felt really strong this last weekend. I hope I will actually be able to bust out another trail soon. That build will start next weekend. I'm going to really do some cool stuff on the next build. Very excited
@@mtbingadventures1551 Excellent, sounds cool. Don't forget to hydrate out there...

That’s my boy! Be kind to his back, okay? Love to see what you all are doing. . .tell my ‘kid’ to be safe ‘cause his mom is checking up on him!😜
😆 it's good you're checking in on him. He's been a great help out here. I love it when he's able to come up.
This is my first time watching this video. Kinda like how it started...good stuff.
Oh wow, this was an interesting time. The start of a totally new adventure.
Whilst I admire your energy in building all those skinnies Aaron, I find myself asking, "why?" 😉🙏🏼
I just recently had 2 young riders spend about an hour playing around on the skinny features. It's all about having a variety of things to ride and challenge yourself. I also like skinny and plan to have a lot more of these over time.
Can confirm. My kids and I just rode Everstoke last weekend and the skinnies were super fun and the kids loved this addition!!! It was so great camping in view of anyone riding too.
The timelapse music drives me bonkers, but the builds are oh, so worth it!! haha
Ah yes, the fine tunes provided by RUclips are always interesting. I might have to dive into the archive again and mix it up a little. LOL. I'm glad you enjoy the time lapse stuff.
@ 2:30 you should have gone left. And "hike-a-bike section" is best to descend. @ 20:07 you should have gone right to do Snail Trail.
It might be awhile before I can get back out that way. I would've loved having a guide for that place. It's always a coin toss on what trails to take. Thanks for the info. I do refer back to my vids and comments when I revisit a place to help me explore more stuff.
The only screw that strips easier than a flat head is a Philips head. I'm not sure how much more expensive they are, but I'd highly recommend Torx or good old Deckmates which also work with a number two square drive as well as their proprietary, close to number 3 Philips.
I always buy the Torx heads. These were donated to us. I did my best to use them. All it does was remind me how much I can't stand them. I'm 100% in agreement with you.
Hey Aaron, fantastic job on the property, trails, drops and the skinny I experienced last week. Who is manufacturer of the tiny home?
Thank you, the tiny home was built by Uncharted Tiny Homes out of Arizona. Great build quality but not good on sticking to their timeline of completion and delivery.
Good to know! Thanks
I think most people would like to see more jumps/drops, not skinnies. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what's popular where I ride (Santa Cruz).
Have you watched passed videos? I have 7 drops located near the skinny as well as other drops located throughout the property. I intend to make many more but would love to have a variety of features and not just drops and jumps.
That looks so fun! Good call getting out of the heat. We have pretty much stopped trail building where I am just too hot and dry now. Would it be better to debark those posts used for construction? To slow rot or is it a species thing? Thanks again for the content you put so much time in on the trails and infrastructure and then make content. I appreciate it. Side note: what kind of beer do you drink?
I went down to the river with Dan for a couple of hours. That really helped recharge me for the evening. It would definitely be better to get the bark off all the logs. I haven't figured out if it's easier to just replace them or debark them. Also not sure how much longer ones without bark will last vs ones with bark. By the time these rot, we just might alter or upgrade the skinny at that point. I love drinking the Hazy IPAs right now. I got a great rhythm of getting a great buzz without having any headaches or laziness the following day. Drinking beer is an art. LOL
@@mtbingadventures1551 Hope to get out your way next year where is the closest place to pick up Hazy IPAs?
@@rextilian there is a grocery store just a couple miles from our place that usually has them. I pick up a 12 pack from Safeway in Truckee because they are more reliable to have it in stock.
Rad 🤘🏼
Thank you very much
Looking fantastic !!!!
Thank you!
that thing looks fun to ride!
It's pretty fun. I finished it just this last weekend and tested it out.
Aaron is putting in the hard hours, but man, is it ever paying off! Twister Kook complex on 🔥!
Yes sir, I intend to build one of the most amazing mountain biking destinations ever. Hard work, low pay, but happiest I've ever been.
@mtbingadventures1551 live your best life
agreed!! This micro-network is looking amazing, and such a cool addition to the rest of the trails!!
That's my kind of carpentry!
Have you guys thought about maybe a season/yearly/monthly pass through something like patreon except specifically for Everstoke? I might donate every month if it comes with say 1 free camping night per month or something like that. Plus maybe some others benefits. I think it’d help you guys with some revenue and would be a good deal to subscribers.
Maybe something you can premiere next year when the snow melts. Something BKXC can cook up on the website 👌
Yes, we have been kicking around the idea of doing something like that. We're pretty clueless as to what to offer right now and how we will be going about it. We definitely love hearing comments like this to get ideas on what we should include as well as what we should charge. Then it be some kind of pass or something that members can have on their cellphone.
well done dude….
Thank you very much.
Great Job! Can't wait! Will be there this weekend with Sikads!
Great! I'm really looking forward to having you guys out.
When I mt bike I love riding in the dirt. I hate riding on wood. I'll NEVER visit this place!
Great Job…….. Cheers…🤙🤙🤙💥💥🚴🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻🍻🍻🍻
Thanks. This was a tough build in the heat.
The glamorous work. Needs to be done and looks great.
Thanks, I had to do about another 30 trees in the last weekend. I'm trying to get rid of all the dead onesd.
What's the p stand for? There another blue model without the p at the end. Same specs, same price. I want the blue one but don't want to lose any features
I'm not sure what "P" actually stands for. But those models have protection against dust and water. Rated IP65 water resistant
Nice Improvements! All these trees you have to take care of among so many other things are real eye openers of owning a property like this. You’re doing great work!!! And Dan too, what a great friend! With my camp reservation coming up it’s fun to wonder if that skinny will be done, I don’t mean that in a pressuring way, just fun anticipation my mind is having. Can’t wait!
It should be finished up by next weekend. I put in a lot more work, and these videos are a week delayed from real time. Takes me a bit to edit them and get them on RUclips
everything looks great, I hope I can go soon, first settle in my ne home in El Dorado hills, then the fun!!!!!
Congrats on the new home. I hope you get settled in smoothly
Awesome 💯💯
Thank you very much
Critters love that sweat! Bummer about the hat but great work projects thanks.
Extra ventilation, I guess. 😆 Thank you
Timmmmberrrrrrrrr! I'm surprised Dan didn't cut it higher, then make an Everstoke totem pole out of the bottom 10' or so ;-P
It might become a future skinny. Hopefully
Did you consider using several notched bars (or bars with clips already attached) to simply run the black tubing up and down through the notches (or clips) then fix the bars? I think that may have been quicker and neater.
😲 I did not. I love your idea, though. They sale that at Home Depot?
@@mtbingadventures1551 I don’t know Aaron. I live in the UK and have seen products for installing underfloor heating pipework with grooved foam underlay for the pipes, so my thought was to create something similar with a simple nothched or pre-clipped bar to hold the tubes down.
@@bbanga5542I think I might have something that will work
as 700 people will soon tell you, use mirrors! haha maybe a storage tank for night use? haha
Good info. Do I put the mirrors underneath?
@@mtbingadventures1551 so that they reflect the sunlight on the pipes. even if you use aluminum foil, curve it to half pipe, run the black pipe in the center. that way the light will always be reflect toward the pipe. i wish i draw on the this thing or send pictures. once you see one you will know what i am thinking . the pipe will need to elevated so that it sits in the center of the arc.
Hot tub looks fantastic, Aaron! Thoughts on a wye strain, filters or cleaners?
Thanks, I haven't thought that far ahead. It would be awesome to have some kind of filter. I'm open to suggestions
@mtbingadventures1551 Neither have I!😂 I'd imagine a strain along the line to catch organic material, sediment, etc.. Maybe along with a filter on a manifold somewhere along your line. Keeping it clean and heat efficient.
Yeah - I'd be concerned about random bacteria growth.
We drain it every week . That is the overflow water from the well. @somethingelsehere8089
@@mtbingadventures1551works for me, such a cool project. Thanks Aaron
An adventure for sure...always
I almost feel like Indiana Jones 😆
@@mtbingadventures1551...You do have ta get a new hat...hmmm
Cant wait to get out there! Youre killing it.
So much stuff is happening. I can't wait for you to see it all. Thanks
I HATE THOSE WOODEN BOARD TRAILS! HORRIBLE AND NO FUN! I'LL I NEVER RIDE AT YOUR PLACE!!! RIDING ON DIRT IS SO MUCH BETTER!
Man that is some awesome work.
That warms my heart to hear that. Thank you. It's a pretty fun challenge
Thanks for the video! Its nice how it can easily fit a MTB inside. What's your efficiency like with the hitch? I've got the roof rack and it definitely hurts my efficiency quite a bit. I might start putting the bike inside for longer drives
It is noticeable on the hitch as well. I'm estimating about 7% range loss at 65 mph and probably about 12%l loss when going over 75 mph. It really starts hurting that drag coefficient. When I drive to Moab, I'm unable to skip any charging stations on Highway 80.
@@mtbingadventures1551 Gotcha, thanks! I think its about the same or a bit more range loss with the roof rack, and obviously also added wind noise is a little annoying. I think for longer drives where I'll need to charge I'll just put the bike in, looks simple enough
